Life-Cycle inventory (LCI)

 

A life-cycle inventory (LCI) is the identification and quantification of materials and resources required to produce a product (the inputs) and the identification and quantification of materials and resources omitted as a result of production of the product (output).

Inputs examples: Water, energy, and raw materials.

Output examples: Releases/ emissions of solids, gas and water effluents into the to air, land, and water
